I saw the RyanAir chief exec on TV and he was saying how much of an overreaction it was.

You know, the airlines will be selling toiletries on board next. It's bloody ridiculous. You're more likely to get some Anthrax in the mail than be involved in a plane-bombing.

Are they going to stop postal services next??? :grr:

One of the things I was reading today mentioned that there was a general misinterpretation of what was said right at the beginning of this.

There was never issue with anyone bringing drinks on to the plane - just that explosive related materials that LOOKED like drinks would be put into sports drink bottles and brough on that way.
