Louis Theroux - America's Most Hated Family in Crisis

Following up on his 2007 documentary, The Most Hated Family in America, Louis Theroux returns to Topeka, Kansas, for a week-long visit with the Westboro Baptist Church. He again joins the Phelps family on their controversial pickets where they try to antagonise communities with offensive slogans and anti-gay placards. But four years on from Louis's last visit, there are signs of disarray in the Phelps clan. A series of defections of family members has shaken up the church.

For anyone who hasnt watched this (God Hates Fags) , these people are really really unbelievable. Their views are extremeist to say the least. I watched this last night and i was "open jawed" at most of there views/coments. I urged anyone who has not heard of them to watch this.

I watched most of it before I fell asleep. It's quite cultish, and I think the daughter actually called it a cult. They are all a bunch of kooks, and I bet their church is tax exempt. What crap.

The daughter who's a lawyer used to go on Howard Stern. He'd let her speak because she was so crazy it made great radio! I'll have to rip myself away from PCBH to watch this

Kewl, looks like something right up my alley so to speak. lol :-)

I really enjoyed the Prison Behind Bars Doc from Louis Theroux. I've found myself enjoying most of his stuff. I like how he asks the questions we all want to ask without sounding judgmental so that the person actually feels comfortable answering him.

yep, he really does do that well. I think it's a lot to do with how he's prepared to be human and direct. Most nutters think they're cool really, so they can't help but respond on that level.

2nd episode added - it's all about people who are close to death in hospital. Not an easy watch at all.
