They are reshowing this on PBS. What a magnificent account of the American Civil War. He is really a talented historian. I taped it when it was on the first time in the late 80's/early 90's and watched it until the tape was threadbare. I own his WWII series and now the Civil War set is on its way too. So much can be learned from Ken Burns. I would love to be able to interview him and pick his brain...since there is so little of mine left!

I saw it 1+ yr ago ... very good series. I can't recommend it enough...I have the entire collection somewhere in my house!

It makes me wonder if the series he has made on subjects that I am not interested in, like the baseball series, would still interest me since he has done such a good job. I may just have to check it out....
