(did wonder, and unsuccessfully try to find out online, what happened to his {and Denis Skinner} attempt to get PM Questions to occur rather than Thatcher's charade ? )

I've always thought that interviews with comedians were the most risky type of TV for a politician but George did well. Mitchell didn't take any cheap shots at the guests.

I never knew John Sergeant was such a reactionary tool though. A buffoon, yes. A Thatcherite, no.

He's doing his show at the Edinburgh festival today, so I'm sure it will be mentioned at some point.
