One of the sites I visit regularly has been 'hacked' - meaning that it redirects to a site called jforjustice.co.uk - and it seems that the only way to fix it is for people to pay for an update. That seems pretty tight and it makes me think I was right not to upgrade to it... phpbb for the musty dusty win!
Apparently if you turn off java you can visit affected sites.

It seems almost like a scam.
I'm doing a social community site just now, for me and whoever wants to use it, facebook without the data gathering. All unanswered posts status updates should be deleted from the user base after a months inactivity, for instance, no picture tagging, no google, no linking to get friends from email accounts, no bullshit really.
I'm doing it with drupal, netbeans and gimp.
All open source and free ..
I'll be looking for beta testers at some point, I'll put a post or a thread here ...
