I don't know the jerk who was acting like a prat, maybe he always acts like a prat, but the band is called "that jerk and the boxmasters."

Billy Bob is a complete and utter knob. After that interview, I'm surprised if anybody gave his band the time of day.

I could maybe understand him being a dick if the interviewer was just some poptart, but he really seems to have a proper understanding of modern music. I reckon Thornton has paid for everything to do with the band and thinks he's DA KING.

From what I've heard, BBT was upset about the interviewer bringing up his film career (which he used only in the intro without asking any related questions). At the very next performance, his band was booed and Willie Nelson subsequently scrapped them from his tour.

While I can empathize with him being touchy that early in the morning, he lost me when he tried to compare himself to Tom Petty. Ego doesn't make up for years of hard work or musical talent.

Now I hear he's cancelled his Canadian tour because the audiences here are "like mashed potatoes without gravy"-- apparently we don't "throw" enough stuff when he sings. He can stay away as far as I'm concerned.

I have never been a big fan of his and now I can honestly say I don't like him. I heard parts of the radio interview on a local radio show that was taking the mick out of him. He was acting like such an a$$hole, I had to change the station until they were done with the bit. I understand wanting to promote your "music" ( I put it in quotes because I heard it and I question if it can actually be defined as such), but, dude, you were an actor first and that is how people know you. Are you ashamed of the work you did as an actor? It sure seems that way....

point is, the band used to be called Billy Bob thornton and the boxmasters. He used his name and previous notoriety to publisise it. he had to, they sound like shit ...
