Happy Father's Day to all!
I went over to my parents' home today, where my mum made several of my Dad's fave dishes. We had a great time, as we always do. But my dad totally cracked me up when I arrived: I was about to wish him a happy father's day, but before I could, my dad said, "Happy My Day!!" Always good for a laugh, my dad.
But I'm also of the opinion that I don't need 1 special day to let family & friends know I care - I always give 'em a hug and such, no matter what day it is.

For once Aja, normal
I have done that before as well. There are still times when I totally forget my dad is dead. Sometimes it hurts and other times it brings a nice smile to my face. Regardless, he's always with me because he's a part of me and always will be, just as your dad is with you

Amen Kezza. You don't need a special day for it at all. Even though I do love both mother's day and father's day.
Your dad sounds like a character for sure and I am so glad you guys got to have a special day with him for father's day. Good memories.
