Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

Yeah, they had this on the news over here when the gas prices went up. They showed how much we pay for a gallon of ice cream and we don't complain about that.
What is also interesting is with the rate of inflation we were actually paying more per gallon of gas in the 1980s during the crunch.

Those prices are pretty amazing. I never thought of it that way. Although I must admit, I don't ususally have to buy Nyquil 13 gallons at a time!!

spurs, I was thinking just that about the Nyquil.

I think why people complain about gas so much is that we, for the most part, need the gas while many of these other things we can do without, so if we pay a a bit more for them once and awhile, it's not a big deal.
