I was just on another forum and saw this comment on a thread talking about trance music.
If you want to get a little less mainstream then check out a new growing sub genre called goa trance
My brain hurt at this idea - I was listening to goa trance in 1994! This fact means that either I'm a time-travelling techno god, or the person who wrote that comment is so far behind the times that they're probably still singing 'Aciiiieeeeeeeeed!'

the tune I've included is actually an example of 'Goa Disco', called 'Affectation' by Chris Nemmo and Andree Eskay, which shows how far the genre has developed - it's gone so far back to its roots that its become its own grandparents...

smashing.

All techno and trance music is shite!

It's like if Bach wrote the first 3 notes to his Tocata and Fugue, and then just said "fuck this, I'll just repeat these over and over for 20 minutes".

What a load of boring shit. I have spoken!!!! LOL!

Well considering I spent years writing, producing, mixing and performing it, along with organising raves and parties and loving just about every minute of it I think we'll have to disagree! And you claim to be into the geekery too... for shame - haha

It's great when you've had a few drinks and need to burn off some calories with a good old dance session. I've had my moments! 8)

so you acknowledge it takes taste and sophistication to understand the subtleties of this music? that's a step in the right direction!
