This is Rod Stewart's model version of Grand Central Station in New York (circa 1940's). Who'd have thought the wrinkled old rocker would have such a hobby? To be honest though, it looks brilliant!

He has always been into model railways. I can remember interviews with him saying he worked on them as a kid.

I love model railways. My father had a very small one. I would love to see this in person.

My boys absoltley LOVE trains. I can't even begin to tell you the various scales and models we have ... we have teeny tiny to big big ... Whilst in Hamburg we took them to the Train MIniature Wonderland ... All I can say is if you love trains this is THE place to go. It is amazing!

Some of the trains go from room to room. It is kind of a "around the world" train set up. The Florida part had a "Creature from the Black Lagoon." If you look close enough there are little naked people all over the set up too!
Here's a picture of David infront of the control room.
They also have the lights on a timer to mimic the sunrise and sunset - with the whole thing lit up of course! We were there for World CUp and they had the German "cities" set up for the world cup complete with crowds, jumbotrons and the wave!
I think thid one was supposed to be Hamburg:
