If anyone out there has an iPod, I'd appreciate your help -- I've been searching all the websites but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

Is there anyway to just update "sections" of your ipod without having to update everything that's in iTunes? Basically, can I store stuff on my iPod while NOT storing it on my computer? I've a ton of stuff that I'd like to get off of iTunes as it's slowing my computer down, but I'm not ready to remove it from my iPod yet.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

You want to manage music Manual not automatic.

This option is found on the Ipod screen when the Ipod is plugged in.

You will then have to drag and drop all content you want on your Ipod and also
you have to delete files from your Ipod when you no longer want them.

On the plus side you can keep files just on your Ipod and delete the originals from your computer.
