I'm sure there's a simple answer to this question, but I've yet to find it........

I have a number of pictures, etc. that I would love to resize so that they can be used for avatars, etc. But everytime I try to do that I end up just getting a "chunk" of the picture rather than a smaller verison of what I want. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

what program are you using to resize the pics?

if you've got a digital camera there's probably software with that which will let you resize properly.

My mind has gone blank with the name of the program Face.... I'll get back to you on that.

I haven't checked out the software that came with my new digital camera but will give that a go. It's called Cybershot viewer and came with the new Sony camera.

If it's just a quick resize etc... www.gifworks.com and do it free online.

If just to make avatars, - https://www.shrinkpictures.com/

Cheers! I'll check those out. Haven't done much on this lately but will check it out this weekend.
