sorry to hear that Stoney - I hope your hubby is making a suitable fuss of you!

I always like an audio book if I'm ill - it takes all the hassle out of page turning...

Hi Stones

Take honey with your tea. Drink lukewarm water.

You can also try ginger/cardamom seeds dried and crushed with Arabic coffee. If you're in London then you can pop in one of the shops in Edgeware Road for some Yemeni coffee [ask them with the one with cardamom]. Truly wonderful, especially if you're a fan very strong coffee.

Wish a quick recovery :)

Feel better, Stones! Having a cold when the weather is warm is so miserable! Poor thing...

Good tips Ash, I've been putting honey in hot orange juice. I can't drink caffeine so no coffee for me!

Thanks for all the well wishes, I'm feeling much better today, I may even go outside and enjoy the sun tomorrow.

Still being sick but I think that's the morning sickness poking it's nose in. My throat doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as yesterday but it sounds well rough which is great for sympathy!

an ex's mum used to make something with honey, i think it was with lemon and whiskey, i think it might have been served heated up

i've always found lemsip extra strength and copious amounts of weed works wonders

Yeah it's a shame you can't drink whisky at the moment that always works for me. whisky, honey a couple of cloves and hot water. Don't be bringing any of those germs with you at the weekend!
