Who Will Win the World Cup?

Personally, I fancy Argentina. Their manager is a certifiable loon, the team is a mess and they have nothing to lose. A few controversial decisions could see them through to a final decided on a penalty shoot-out. From an Irish point of view, it's anybody but France. And yes, we will be quietly supporting England, despite the fact that you vicious bastards not only starved us to death but also hung and shot us after we were dead and then arrested us for treason and sent us to Australia. And then shot us again. But we'd still prefer to see you win, rather than any team that cuntains Tierry Henry!

haha
I think I'll be backing Spain - they've always seemed to do well, but never won much. Though with them winning the Euros a couple of years back I think they've a good chance of doing pretty well in SA.

As usual, I'm hoping for Germany..... my dad is from there so that's who we support. Still, hoping for some great matches whoever's playing....... got the PVR set for England vs US this afternoon and have the South Korea vs Greece on right now.

I hope that whoever wins takes a pile of those annoying bastard horn things and burns them in the middle of the pitch. They're really bugging me and it's only day 2!

You'd think you would get bored of blowing a 'vuvuzela' after about 5 minutes, but the feckers carry on throughout the whole match!!!

I don't mind 'em at all. If you can blow a trumpet, you can get a tune out of one. If you can blow a didgeridoo they're dead easy to circular breathe with, drive your neighbours even madder
I won one the other day at a supermarket, unfortunately German colours, but it plays ok ... even our two and a half year old can get a noise ...
that vindaloo song's great Aja
edit,

coming to your footie ground next season ..

Just asked my wife about this and she said that the reason that I like 'em might have something to do with my tinnitus .. She may have a point .
Anyone else with tinnitus and a liking for the drone ?

haha tinnitus - that would explain it! I can make most it disappear by cutting the mid/low range on my soundcard, but even then I have to lower the volume.
I reckon by the end of this week that FIFA will have to say something.

"France captain Patrice Evra has already blamed the noise generated by the vuvuzelas, which has been likened to the drone of thousands of bees, for his side's poor showing in their opening group game against Uruguay which finished goalless."
that ingrate shouldn't even be there by rights ..
I don't see how they can get rid of 'em, the Africans love 'em. Maybe they've all got tinnitus
