I'm really happy the SNP have done so well, it looks like they'll have an overal majority. I thought twice about voting for GG because of his stance against Independence, and it's fair to say that I'm a fan of his in general, so it's not hard to extrapolate from that what the problem might have been.
300 votes for a council seat isn't bad, there were LibDems getting that few in constituency votes yesterday - quite a few even lost their deposits. And they now have 0 MSPs on the mainland who were directly elected.
