i would do except its up a wall nearly twice my height!

i've just been checking the rspca site and they recommend not to do that anyway - they reckon its best to just leave it ( unless its in danger ) and the parents will keep feeding it - from the description on the site, this bird has got feathers so fingers crossed it shouldn't be to far off flying ... but i can't say i'm that optimistic

ah well, but it's done well to survive a fall from that high then - does it move about ok?

i've discovered photographing any wildlife takes quite a bit of patience! good luck with it aja :)

i'm as close to cornwall as you can be and not be in cornwall - check this pic, its not very good, i took it the other morning but it was quite foggy and the colours haven't come out right, but this is just down the road from me - the land to the right of the picture across the river is cornwall - its 12 miles to get there by road though ... or a quick trip across the water by ferry :)
Yes I am definitely looking at your area as a place to call my new home ....From what I have read up so far ....I think its doable ...:)
Anyways last night i was out in the garden cooking some burgers and I heard some pitiful bird sounds so i looked around and noticed a birds nest high up in one of the trees with 2 baby birds 1 sitting on top of the nest and the other a couple of branches higher ...so I took a couple of photos they did not come out that well as the sun was in the wrong place ....The poor things were frozen with Fear .....there was quite a wind whipping up .... and before i knew it one fell out of the tree and tried to fly but couldn't and the other one Freaked and flew about 30 feet and ended up falling in the bushes .....I waited there till i saw the mum looking for them .....she found them and i left the garden ......poor little Robins :(
by the way i asked my mate what bird that was in your garden .....she said JAN its an English Sparrow ....(oh the shame ) :) anyways here my attempt at the picture

i was a bit worried the little thing would get cold, so i've built it a new nest until it can fly - just a square plant pot on its side full of tissue, it seems to have made himself ( or herself ) at home well enough :)

ya big softie! haha

nice one though - she'll be gone in a couple of weeks and won't even bother even calling to say thanks. At least, that's my experience of birds...

I think that deserves a b'dum tish.
