It looks somewhat like the halo they put on patients that have had neck/spinal injuries. Hugs to you and your family, Luke and best wishes for your niece's speedy recovery. How old is she?

its taken me half a year to remember my own age!

but i guessed right, she is 8

she got out of hospital yesterday and seems to be doing alright - the doctors gave her a weeks supply of some pain killer but she's already stopped taking it
