Thanks faceless -- I assumed that it was too good to be an illusion !!

+The shadow illusion is really good. It depends not on the shadow but the 4 very dark squares around square "B". That makes "B" appear "lighter" .. verus square "A" which has white around it, so making "A" appear darker. I tried to do a paper cut-out over the screen to prove the illusion without touching the keyboard.

+The figure always appears to be spinning clock-wise. Damn right brain -- I am sure I used to be a left-brainer

Thanks, maycm. I've seen it before, but it still puzzles me. I guess the brain remembers green better than purple, so as the green dot moves around the circle, the brain fills in the "blank" with grey. If anyone knows better, I'd be interested in hearing.
