Scotland beat France 1-0 tonight - ya beauty!! When I first saw the group-draw I was highly dubious of them getting anywhere, but they're now top of their group having twice beaten France. I'm pretty much gobsmacked to be honest and it was a cracking long-shot that clinched it.
A begrudging well done to Ingerland too, they did well against Russia.

Well done, Face. To be top of the group when the group includes France and Italy...Russia was talking lots of smack before the match...loads of bollocks about how Robinson may be good enough for the Prem, but was no match for them and that he was the weak spot on the team. All of this from a team that let Rio Ferdinand score on them!!

Scotland are now 3-1 up against Ukraine with only a short while to go - this turns out to be Scotland's best ever winning run since 1948... good on em.
Ukraine are usually a very strong an dependable team as well, so it's no mean feat.

The Scotland v Georgia game has just started and with only the game against Italy left in the group after this game it's pretty tense for the Tartan Army! Scotland are playing in their third choice strip (red) for some reason and I read somewhere that it was the only time they've used it. Considering the Georgians are wearing white I can't see a reason myself..
Anyway, enough of the chit chat - back to the nail biting!

Good luck to Scotland and England this weekend. A huge, huge tie for the boys in Blue, I really hope they put the Italians out tomorrow.
Scotland will probably wake up with the biggest hangover in history if they do it.
England on the other hand needs the help of lady luck, with Israel having to beat Russia in Tel Aviv for them to even stand a chance. It’s still a tough tie and could go either way, but I anticipate disappointment, both in terms of the result, and in that the manager, Mr McLaren, will be dis-appointed.

If Scotland win tomorrow it will be as good as having won the World Cup, but I've got serious doubts. I'll be hiding behind the couch for most of the game... praying.
I'd not been following England's progress though, so it was surprising to hear they're in this situation. Politically I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place though, support England or Israel? my brain! haha
