Yeah I saw that this morning and was wondering what was going on :) I wouldn't have a picnic there though with all the cars whizzing around but it definitely beats the non-grass version :D

wicked :) i'm going to have to pop down have a look and get some photos - it looks so much nicer. shame they can't keep it like that, it would make the wait for the night bus more enjoyable, lazing on the grass instead of on hard concrete :)

I was thinking the same thing luke. It would just be so much nicer. I wish they could keep it.

Me 3, Luke & Skylace. It's so much more beautiful than the usual concrete. Of course, given how popular a tourist spot it is, I wager it'd be quite expensive (if not impossible) to maintain in this state. Think of the grass in St. James Park.

It does look nicer, but I think majortom is right... it would be far too hard to maintain.

Thinking of all those pigeon droppings, I wouldn't picnic anywhere near that grass.

The grass has to be contaminated

p.s. It does look lovely.

I was thinking the same thing. Picnic in the poop...not for me! I do agree it looks lovely and it would be great to come out of St Martins after a brass rubbing or out of the museum and be able to plop down in a lawn chair, but alas it is not to be. At least we have the picture...

LOVE IT! I would go in a minute. It is a FAR cry from my last visit to Trafalgar ... new years eve '85 ... wall to wall people ... hiding from the pervs under some punks liberty spikes ...

I am all for leveling crap and turning it into green space. Anyone play SIMCity? I am notorious for putting in a bunch of green parks and llama ranches.
